    Sarah Stevens is a professional Home Economist with  Bachelors and Masters degrees from Stephen F Austin State University.  She taught Family and Consumer Sciences for 29 years in public school and started a culinary arts program during the last years of her tenure.  Teaching culinary arts provided  opportunities to attend teacher educator  workshops at Johnson & Wales University, Culinary Institute of America and Art Institute.  In 2004 she opened Stevens Catering and has had commissions for such events as charity balls, wine tastings, hospital Christmas parties, grand openings, fundraising dinners, dinner parties and numerous wedding receptions.  
    Special events are her passion, and there's nothing she loves better than pulling out all the stops to present beautiful food in an elegant setting.  All foods are made starting from "scratch" with top quality ingredients.  Sarah makes all wedding cakes, desserts and cookies from recipes she has tested  through the years.  
     Recognizing Sarah's "knack" for knowing what the public enjoys,                                           has brought her on board  as the sous chef for the Fresh Harvest Cooking Show and to provide SARAH'S SIMPLE SOLUTIONS --everyday hints and recipes to help folks get good food on the table quickly!  Stevens is featured on its web site and in weekly Wednesday newspaper circulars.
